The vocal ensemble Cappella Mariana and the instrumental group Constantinople will present the concert titled "Odyssey by Krystof Harant", conceived by Vojtech Semerad and Kiya Tabassian. The performance explores the life of Krystof Harant, a Czech nobleman, traveller, humanist, soldier, writer, and composer whose journey ended tragically in 1621 when he was executed for his involvement in the Bohemian Protestant Revolt. Harant embarked on a pilgrimage from Prague to Jerusalem, passing through Venice, Cyprus, the Sinai, and Cairo, chronicling his odyssey in travel books. The concert serves as a musical voyage into Harant's world, featuring his own compositions alongside Mediterranean and oriental-inspired music that he encountered during his travels. These melodies, preserved through oral tradition and documented in his travelogue, will be narrated by actor Ramón Barea.

Vojtěch Semerád, director of Cappella Mariana, describes the performance as "a journey of geographical, historical, cultural, and personal discovery towards distant horizons," guiding both performers and audience alike like a beacon of light.
